Hex Game (unreleased project) | Unity


About The Project

This project is a turn-based tactical game that feels akin to a faster paced version of Chess. Players take their turns simultaneously, eliminating much of the waiting normally associated with turn-based games. Currently, we have a playable prototype and are progressing toward an Alpha version.

Responsibilities: Everything!

With a team of just two people, one has to wear many hats in order to make a game. Thus far, I have:
  • Contributed heavily to the design of the game's core concept, gameplay features, and gameplay UI
  • Written the majority of the Game Design Document
  • Developed all of the core gameplay functionality in C#
  • Developed a level creator in C#
  • Created game levels using the level creator
  • Created most of the gameplay UI in Unity using the NGUI plugin
  • Created most of the 2D sprites used for gameplay and the gameplay UI, including several animations
